Maria Guadalupe Gonzales

Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez, 94, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 20, 2024, in Raymondville, TX. She was born on September 13, 1929, in Sarita, TX, to Guadalupe Garcia and Dominga Mayorga. 

Lupita married Juan Gonzales Sr. on December 30, 1951. Lupita is preceded in death by her loving husband, her grandson, Juan Guadalupe Perez Jr., two sisters, Julia Jamie and Lucia Trevino, and one brother, Manuel Garcia.

She is survived by her children, Maria Elva Perez (Lupe) from Victoria, TX, Juan Gonzales Jr. (Cindy) from La Feria, TX, Maria Estella Carmona (Rick) from Corpus Christi, Tx, Samuel Gonzales, Jesus Guadalupe Gonzales (Melissa) and Martha Eliza Gonzales of Raymondville, Tx., her sisters, Lucinda Alvarez, Eva De La Garza, Janie Baker, and Meleda Alvarez of Corpus Christi, TX, and her brother, Roberto Garcia of Sarita, Tx. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren, whom she loved very dearly.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were her grandsons, Edward Lucas Gonzales, David Anthony Perez, Jason Keith Gonzales, Frenz Garcia and Nickolas J. Gonzales, and her nephew, Ruben Alvarez.

Viewing will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024, from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow to her final place of rest at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
