Aleida De Leon

Aleida De León entered eternal rest on February 17, 2026. Born June 25, 1959, in Fowler, California, to Nicanor and Anastacia De León, she was the cherished firstborn of her family.

A lifelong resident of Raymondville, Texas, Aleida graduated from Raymondville High School, Class of 1977. She continued her studies at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas, and later graduated from Texas State Technical Institute in 1988, building a respected career in healthcare coding. Known for her expertise and quick wit, she often brought laughter by matching everyday conversations to billing codes.

Aleida was devoted to her family and especially treasured her nieces and nephews: Alyssa Nicole Lozano (Armin), Arlette Margarita De León, Lauren Rose Escobedo, Jose David De León, David Ray Escobedo, Diego Ray Escobedo, and Daylan Ray Escobedo. She was also blessed with a great-niece and great-nephew, Arabella and Aramis Lozano, who brought her immense joy. She is preceded in death by her father, Nicanor De León.

She is survived by her mother, Anastacia De León; her brothers, Jose Luis De León (Annabel) and David De León; and her sisters, Maria Alicia De León, Yolanda De León, Adelina De León, and Dr. Laurie De León-Escobedo (Ray), along with numerous extended family members.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her love, laughter, and devotion to family.

Viewing will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will resume on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Templo Nueva Vida en Cristo Church in Raymondville. Interment will follow to her final place of rest at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
