Alicia Anzaldua Llanes, 90 entered into eternal rest on January 6, 2025, in Lyford, TX. She was a 1955 graduate of Raymondville High School. Alicia was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and daughter.
Alicia is preceded in death by her husband, Juan R. Llanes, parents, Roberto and Guadalupe Anzaldua, sisters, Adelina Garza and Lupita Garcia.
She is survived by her son, Juan (Johnny) R. Llanes Jr., daughters, Ester (Rey) Reyna, Melba Alicia Llanes, Minnie Llanes and Maria (Pita) Llanes Overman, grandchildren, Rumaldo (Becky) Reyna, Robert (Victoria) Reyna, great grandchildren, Isaiah (Jade) Reyna, David Lopez, Riley Reyna, John Reyna, Layla Reyna and Mya Reyna.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Rumaldo Reyna, Robert Reyna, Isaiah Reyna, David Lopez, Riley Reyna and John Reyna.
On behalf of the Llanes’s family, we would like to extend a gracious thank you to Mr. Joseph Silguero and the Amabel Hospice Staff at the start of her battle with Dementia / Alzheimer’s, also the Greater Valley Hospice Staff, and a special thanks to Lupe Ramirez for her sitter/friend companionship.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 12 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Interment will follow to her final place of rest at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
