Angelica Gonzalez Lewis, 76, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, in Harlingen, Texas. She was born on March 1, 1947, in Primera, Texas, to Viviano and Rafaela “Bita” Gonzalez.
She is survived by her son, Robert Lewis, and her sisters, Enriqueta G. DeLeon (Joel) and Cecilia G Gonzalez (Felipe+).
She is preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Jack Lewis, parents, Viviano and Rafaela “Bita” Gonzalez, brother, Jose Gonzalez, and sisters, Hortencia G. Garza, Nemencia G. Cortez, Graciela G. Martinez, and Miss Silvina Gonzalez.
A special thanks to her lifelong friend Connie Garcia for her love and support, the staff at Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Gentiva Hospice, Dr. Jason Peters, and Dr. Todd Shenkenberg.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Robert Lewis, Rafael Cortez, Demetrio DeLeon, Pablo Cortez, Pedro Cortez, Efrain Garza, Daniel Cortez, and Johnny Cortez.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024, from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m., with a holy rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Lyford, Texas. Interment will follow to her final resting place at the Lyford Evergreen Cemetery.
