Arnulfo Gomez, 85, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 13, 1936, in Las Chatonas Ranch in Willacy County to David Gomez and Jesusa Salinas.
He is survived by his sons, Jose (Annie) Gomez- San Antonio, Tx, Sam (Naomi) Gomez- San Antonio, Tx, Antonio (Dolores) Gomez- Houston, Tx, and George Gomez- San Perlita, Tx, daughters, Virginia (Rick) Bernal- Pleasanton, Tx, Delia (Carlos) Milo- Pleasanton, Tx, Alicia (Jesus) Barrientez- San Perlita, Tx, Rebecca Gomez- San Perlita, Tx, and Cristina (Americo) Ortiz- Raymondville, Tx, 24 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. Arnulfo is preceded in death by his wife, Francisca Gomez, grandson, Jay Barrientez, and parents, David and Jesusa Gomez.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. then resumed on Friday, August 5, 2022, from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. Funeral service was held on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe with interment to follow to Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers were Ricardo Bernal Jr., Ismael Hernandez, Joshua Gomez, Gabriel Gomez, David Barrientez, Nathan Chavez, and Noah Ortiz. Honorary pallbearer was Tomas Gomez.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring hands of Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 1157 W. Hidalgo Ave., Raymondville, Texas 78580.
