Atanacio Hernandez

Atanacio Hernandez, 92, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 24, 2023 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX. He was born on May 2, 1930 in Cotulla, TX to Atanacio Hernandez Sr. and Juanita Ortiz Hernandez.

He is survived by his Altagracia Martinez Hernandez, sons, Cresencio Hernandez, Jose Hernandez, Angel Hernandez, and Eduardo Hernandez, daughters, Maria Hernandez, Raquel Hernandez, Josefa Guerrero, Herminia Hernandez, Estela Sanchez, Teresa Hernandez, Benita Hernandez, and Isabel Hernandez, 27 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Atanacio and Juanita Hernandez, brothers, Alfonso Hernandez, Sabino Hernandez, Tomas Hernandez, and Lorenzo Hernandez, and sisters, Julia Hernandez, Tomasa Camarillo, Trinidad Hernandez, Anastacia Silva, and Virginia Sauceda.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and resume on Monday, March 27, 2023 from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral procession will follow to his final place of rest in the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Angel Gabriel Hernandez Sr., Angel Gabriel Hernandez Jr., Eduardo Hernandez, Martin Hernandez, Eduardo Hernandez Jr., and Eric Alan Hernandez.
