Aucensio "Chencho" Garza

Aucensio “Chencho” Garza entered into eternal rest on October 29, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 18, 1943, to Alfredo and Cayetana Vasquez Garza. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Juan Foster, Jose Foster, and Refugio Alonzo.

Chencho is survived by his loving family, wife of 56 years, Aurora Castro Garza; sons, Aucensio “Chencho” Garza, Jr. (Elizabeth), Anaisar Garza (Lorena), Audulio Garza (Anna), Americo Garza; daughters, Adeptaly Garza and Adriana Garza-Romance (Andrew). He is also survived by a sister, Petra Garza Cantu; 2 brothers, Juan Alonzo, Carlos Alonzo; 17 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a holy rosary at 7:00 P.M. The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at 10 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Raymondville, with burial to follow at Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers Aucensio “Chencho” Garza, Jr., Anaisar Garza, Audulio Garza, Americo Garza, Andrew T. Romance, Aizik Garza, Andrew Garza, Alex Garza, and A.J. Garza.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring hands of Good Shepherd Funeral Home.
