Lasara –
Concepcion Ayala Olivarez, 76 of Lasara, TX, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born in Weslaco, Tx, on October 10, 1948, to Jose Piedad and Francisca Ayala.
She was a beloved wife, sister, and aunt to her numerous nieces and nephews. Lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures like watching her westerns, snacking, and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed BBQs, games and gambling. Proudly earning the title of “The Crazy Aunt”.
She is survived by her brothers, Salvador Ayala and Manuel Ayala, her sisters, Guadalupe Boardman, Rosa Rivera, and Victoria Garza, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Jose Piedad and Francisca Ayala, her husband, Sigifredo Olivarez, her brothers, Jose Ayala, Luis Ayala, Nicholas Ayala, Juan Ayala and Francisco Ayala.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Eddie Guerra, Joshua Guerra, Andrew Guerra, Gabriel Rivera, Juan Rivera, and Mike Flores.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow to her final place of rest at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
