Edubijen Jesus Ortiz

Edubijen Jesus Ortiz (Winnie), 82, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 28, 2024. He was born on October 17, 1941, in Raymondville, TX, to Guillermo Ortiz and Tomasa Garza.  

He is survived by his loving wife, Estella Ortiz, and his son, Rene Ortiz (Priscilla Ann Ortiz), his grandchildren, Jaylon Grimaldo, Janelle Salinas, Javier Rene Ortiz, Annette Marie Ortiz and Alejandro Rene Ortiz (Aryana Rojas).

He is preceded in death by his parents, Guillermo and Tomasa Garza, his brothers, Pedro Zamarripas, Domingo Zamarripas, and Jose Ramirez, and his sisters, Mary Ramos and Dora Dominguez.

Honored to service as pallbearers are Jaylon Grimaldo, Alejandro Ortiz, Joshua Tamez, Carson Tamez, Slevin Gutierrez, and Dylan Friend.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from 12 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Interment will follow to his final place of rest at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery where he will receive his full military honors by the American Legion Post 390.
