Eleazar Leal Jr.

Eleazar Leal Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, went to be with the Lord surrounded by loved ones on May 25, 2024. He was born in Artesia, New Mexico on July 23, 1959.

He is preceded in death by his father, Eliazar T. Leal.

His legacy of love, faith and kindness lives on through his beautiful wife, Lydia Leal, his daughters, Patricia Ann Leal and Natalie (Aaron) Copa, his son, Jacob (Gisele) Leal, his mother, Mary Alice Guerra Leal, and his siblings, Nilda (Marco A. (Tony)) Alvarez, Ricardo (Letty) Leal, Jessica (Elhart) Foyteck, and Xavier (Melissa) Leal. He will forever be remembered by his grandchildren, Tiago, Isabella, and Genevieve, who were the light of his life. His unwavering love, faith and compassion touched the lives of all who met him, and his memory will continue to inspire and uplift those who were blessed to have known him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 30, 2024, from 4 PM to 9 PM with a Holy Rosary at 7 PM at Good Shepherd Funeral Home in Raymondville, TX. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 11 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, officiated by Father Patrick Seitz, in Lyford, TX. All services will conclude at that time. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor and celebrate the beautiful life of Eleazar Leal Jr. May he rest in peace.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Eleazar Jacob Leal, Aaron Copa, Xavier Leal, Cesar Cavazos, Mark Gonzalez, Matthew Alvarez, Nicholas Sullenger, and Adrian Vela.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to Prince of Peace Catholic Church made in his honor.
