Elva Sanchez

Elva Sanchez, 83, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 5, 2026, peacefully at her home.  She was born on October 17, 1942, in Arandas Jalisco, MX., to Guadalupe Hernandez and Francisca Rizzo.

She is survived by her sons, Roberto (Cynthia), Armando, and Alberto (Veronica), her daughters, Virginia Sanchez and Elizabeth Rodriguez, her stepchildren, Janie Baugus, George Sanchez, Georgina Mitchell, and Aurelio Sanchez, her brothers, Daniel Hernandez, Ernesto Hernandez, Euginio Hernandez, and Rodolfo Hernandez, her sisters, Rosa Garza and Jesusa Hernandez, 13 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.  

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gilberto A. Sanchez, her parents, Guadalupe Hernandez and Francisca Rizzo Hernandez, her grandson, Samuel Stephan Uribe, her sons, Gerado and Gilberto Andres Jr., and her brothers, Raul and Ruben Hernandez.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 1 p.m. at St. Martins Catholic Church in Sebastian.  Interment will follow to her final place of rest at the Sebastian Cemetery.
