Elvira Carranza, 87, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 25, 2023, in Raymondville, Texas. She was born on April 10, 1936, in Weslaco, TX to Conseption Garica and Maria De Los Santos.
She is survived by her sons, Jorge Luis Carranza, Francisco Alonzo Carranza, Guadalupe Carranza, Rene Carranza, Santos Carranza, Vinicio Carranza, Pedro Carranza, and Benito Carranza, her daughters San Juana Garza, Maria C Gomez, and Norma Sanchez, her brothers, Juan Garica and Horasio Garcia, her sisters, Elva Montez and Emilia Carranza, her 60 grandchildren, and her 101 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Manuel Carranza, her sons, Federico Carranza and Jose Manuel Carranza, her parents, Conseption Garica and Maria De Los Santos, her brother, Ernesto Garcia, and her sisters, Margarita Juarez, Delia Garza, Olivia Seirra, and Rosa Garcia.
A viewing was held on Monday, November 27, 2023, from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., with a prayer service at 7 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, and resumed on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held today on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. El Lirio De Los Valles Church. A funeral procession followed to her final place of rest at Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
