Estefana “Stevie” Keener, 71, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. She was born on January 5, 1954, to Urbano C. Gonzales Jr, and Ester B. Gonzales.
She was a 1973 graduate of Raymondville High School. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and dedicated employee at Spence Clinic.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Keener, her parents, Urbano and Ester Gonzales, her brother, Hilario Castillo, and her sister, Mary E. Paul.
She is survived by her son, Donald W. Keener Jr., her daughters, Andrea Elizabeth Vasquez, Jessica (Brian) Hontz, and Amanda K. Keener, her brother, Eduardo (Eddie) Gonzales, her sister, Frances (Roy) Hinojosa, and her sister-in-law, Virginia Castillo, her grandchildren, Courtney (Bo) Garza, Sonny (Veronica) Vasquez Jr., Samuel E. Vasquez, Herculano Macias, Estevan Macias, and Austin Hontz, and great-grandchildren, Everly Vasquez, Jeri T. Vasquez, and Mathew K. Macias.
Stevie’s family would like to extend a gracious thank you to the staff at Harker Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and to the staff at Altus Hospice who cared for her through her battle with Alzheimer's Dementia.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. with a memorial service at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. All services will conclude at this time.
