In Loving Memory of Eusevia "Cheva" L. Cervantes
March 25, 1928 - February 27, 2024
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Eusevia "Cheva" L. Cervantes, who departed from this world on February 27, 2024, at the age of 95.
Born on March 25, 1928, Cheva was the cherished daughter of Carlos Llanes and Felicitas Rodriguez Llanes. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Mareclina L. Cervantes, Victor Llanes, Juan Llanes, Carlos Llanes, and Feliciano Llanes. She is remembered by her loving family, Paula Salazar (Juvencio+), Jose Luis Llanes, Mike Llanes (Ana), Maria Nieves Salazar (Roberto Vasquez), Isabel Mendiola (Pedro), Emma Serna (Roberto+), Angel (Ludie) Albor, Diana Walker, Yolanda (David) Lake and sister-in-law Alicia Llanes. Her children Lee Cervantez (Victoria), Linda C. Moreno (Hilario+), Alicia Cervantes, Odilia Cervantes, her grandchildren Lisa Rodriguez (Juan), Consuelo (June) Anciso, Lorraine Moreno, Laura Sanchez (Justin), Larissa Moreno, Christina Cervantez (Daniel Salinas) and numerous nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Cheva found joy in simple pleasures and cherished moments spent with her family. She was a pillar of strength and love, whose unwavering support and affection enriched the lives of those around her. Her gentle spirit and compassionate heart left an permanent mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Cheva's professional life was characterized by her dedication and passion for serving others. For many years, she worked at Watson's City Drug, where she found great fulfillment in greeting customers and brightening their days with her infectious smile and kind words.
In addition, Cheva was a devoted family woman who found immense happiness in the company of her loved ones. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them, imparting wisdom, love, and laughter.
Though Cheva may no longer be with us in person, her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and grace that will continue to inspire us all.
As we mourn the loss of our dear Cheva, let us also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the countless lives she touched along the way. May her spirit continue to guide us, and may her memory be a blessing to us all.
Rest in peace, you will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Funeral services begin with a visitation being held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, with a holy rosary at 7 p.m. A funeral mass at OLG will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Interment will follow to her final resting place at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
Honored to service has pallbearers are Ricky Llanes, Noah Rodriguez, Rey Cervantes, Adrian Cervantes, Andrew Lopez, Dylan Anciso.
