Felipa Velasquez, 80, was called home by her Lord and Savior on December 29, 2021, surrounded by her loving family at Christus Spohn Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born May 1, 1941, in Santa Rosa, Texas to Antonio Flores and Marta Alaniz Flores.
“Pina” as she was lovingly known was a true friend to all who knew her. Her family and friends considered her most helpful and loving. There’s nothing she wouldn’t do for you. She will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Sarah Lee Moreno. Pina is survived by her sons, William Flores (Janie), Lawrence Hernandez, and Ruben Hernandez (Coco), daughters, Barbara Zaragosa (Sam), Martha Hernandez, Lolly Hernandez, and Mary San Miguel, sister, Marta Morales (Raul), several grandchildren, many great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and extended family members, and all her friends at La Estancia Apartments in Sebastian.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral procession will follow to her final place of rest in the Sebastian Guadalupe Cemetery.
