Frank Hernandez

Frank Hernandez, 33, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 23, 2026, in Harlingen, TX. He was born on February 22, 1993, to Juan Francisco Hernandez and Maria De Jesus Hernandez.

A proud Lyford native, he graduated from Lyford High School in 2011. Known for his kind heart and willingness to help anyone in need, he made lasting friendships wherever he went. He enjoyed spending time playing video games, working on cars, and trading Pokémon and Digimon cards with friends. He was also passionate about anime, enjoyed collecting and learning about guns, and loved playing basketball and soccer. A talented artist, he expressed his creativity through acrylic painting and had a true passion for art. He loved gathering with friends for BBQs, sharing laughs, stories, and making memories. Outgoing and social, his presence brought joy and comfort to those around him, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Leslie Valdez, his son, Fidencio Esteban Hernandez, his parents, Juan Hernandez and Maria De Jesus Hernandez, and his brothers, Michael Hernandez, Vicente Hernandez, and John Hernandez (Roxanne).

Honored to serve as pallbearers are his brothers, Michael Hernandez, Vicente Hernandez, and John Hernandez, and Jessie Juarez, Armando Gonzales and Ricardo Gonzales.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 6 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home.  Funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Lyford. Interment will follow to his final place of rest at the Lyford Evergreen Cemetery.
