Obituary
Gerardo Candido Esparza, 72, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 7, 2023. He was born on October 3, 1950, in Sebastian, Texas to his parents Leonardo Esparza Sr. and Maria del Carmen Rico - Esparza.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maximina, daughter, Joanna Esparza; brothers, Joe Esparza Sr., Ramon (Janie) Esparza Sr., Natividad Esparza Sr., Carlos Esparza; and sister, Nellie Delgado. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonardo Esparza Sr and Maria del Carmen Rico - Esparza, Leonardo Esparza Jr., and Juanita E Ramos.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023, from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 6:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held Friday, May 12, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at Prince of Peace in Lyford, TX. A funeral procession will follow to his final resting place at Lyford Evergreen Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers: Joe Esparza Sr., Ramon Esparza Sr., Ramon Esparza Jr., Miguel, Danny Diaz, and Albert Cavazos. The honorary pallbearer is Natividad Esparza Sr.
