On January 31, 2024, Gloria Rincones Urbina peacefully passed away to be with the Lord. Born on September 10, 1935, in Lyford, Texas, Gloria was the daughter of Tomas and Emilia Rincones.
For 25 years, she shared a loving and devoted marriage with her beloved husband, Juan B. Urbina, until his passing. Gloria was a beautiful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was consistently up before sunrise to go for her morning walks and could reliably be found working on her beautiful yard for hours each and every day. In addition to her tireless work ethic, Gloria was friendly, generous, and always eager to lend a helping hand. She will be fondly remembered for her undying youthful spirit, and we find comfort in knowing that she is looking down on us with a twinkle in her eye and a warm smile.
Gloria joins her parents, her husband, her brothers Rafaelito, Tomas, Miguel, Jose, and Guadalupe Rincones, her sisters Aurora Romo and Manuelita Rincones, and her grandchild Angela Reyes, in eternal rest.
She is survived by her sons Carlos (Drusilla) and Mario Urbina, 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, her brothers Ralph (Juanita) and Alberto (Pat+) Rincones, and her sisters Herminia (Frank+) Infante, Connie (Buddy+) Fitch, and Dora Rincones.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Daniel Urbina, David Urbina, Mario Urbina Jr, Gavin Elizondo, George Elizondo, Michael Soto, and Jonah Urbina.
Visitations will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home and will resume on Sunday, February 4, 2024, from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral service to celebrate Gloria’s life will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Interment will follow to her final place of rest at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
