Gregoria “Goya” Gonzales, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 10, 2024. She was born in Mexico, to Cruz Martinez and Asencion Campos, on May 28, 1933.
Gregoria “Goya” Gonzales is survived by her husband, Deacon Juan F. Gonzales, son, Donald (Elisa) Gonzales, grandchildren, Sebastian and Solomon; son, John (Janie) Gonzales, grandchildren, Juan and Selissa, son, Richard (Christine) Gonzales, grandchildren, Gabriel, Rebecca, and Sylus; brothers, Antonio Martinez and Lionel Martinez, and sister, Estella Martinez.
Goya retired as a Raymondville school district employee. Goya was also a beautician, cake decorator, interior designer, and Catholic catechist. Goya enjoyed travelling, gardening, and was an ardent supporter of the Raymondville community.
A Viewing will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Raymondville. Interment will follow to her final resting place at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
