Guadalupe A. Torres, 75, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. She was born on October 23, 1946, in Mexico to Hilario Alday Josefina Hernandez Alday.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Hilario and Josefina Alday, mother-in-law, Maria Isabel Ruvalcaba, brother, Jose Angel Alday, and sister, Mariana Cruz. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Juan Antonio Torres, daughters, Sonia (Juan) Torres, Zaira Elizabeth (Jaime) Vargas, and Celene I. (Roberto) Trevino, brothers, Fidencio Alday of Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas and Tomas Alday of Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, sisters, Maria de los Angeles Ovalle of Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Berta Martinez of Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Juany Isela Alday of Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Antonia Alday of Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, and Estela Alday of Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, and grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Torres, Jasmine Celeste Torres, Jolenna Izlynn Trevino, Perla Yvette Torres, Leandra Marie Trevino, Roberto Antonio Torres, Mayra Yarely Vargas, Diego Eduardo, and Elian Santiago Vargas.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022, from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and will resume on Monday, February 21, 2022, from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at 12:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral procession will lead to her final place of rest in the Lyford Evergreen Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Robert Trevino, Jaime Vargas, Gustavo Gutierrez, Armando Rodriguez, Omar Prado, and Miguel Saenz.
