Jeronimo Castillo Jr., 73, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 8, 2026, in Raymondville, TX. He was born in Raymondville, TX., on January 24, 1952, to Jeronimo Castillo Sr. and Maria Del Refugio Padilla Castillo.
Jeronimo got along well with everyone and lived a simple, peaceful life. Known for his kind and gentle nature, he was quiet and reserved but deeply appreciated by those around him. He enjoyed watching western movies and was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Family meant everything to him, and he cherished the time he spent with them. He was also blessed with numerous friends whom he considered part of his extended family.
He is survived by his brother, Mario (Diana) Castillo, his sisters, Maria Yolanda Morin, Irma Chavez, Minerva Banda (Reynaldo), and Leticia Chavez (Adan), and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jeronimo Castillo Sr. and Maria Del Refugio Castillo, and by his brother-in-law’s, Simon Vasquez and Francisco Salinas.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Mario Castillo Jr., Rey Banda, Peter Hernandez, David Hernandez, Joe Mendoza, and Bartolo Cruz.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Our lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow to his final place of rest at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
