Jose Jesus Quintanilla, 92, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 29, 2022 in Harlingen, Texas. He was born October 5, 1929 in Lyford, Texas to Jose de Jesus Quintanilla and Maria Garza Cavazos.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose de Jesus Quintanilla and Maria Garza Cavazos, daughter, Victoria (Shawn+) Huseman, his sisters and brothers, Lupita, Johnnie, Jesus Jr., Estela and his twin sister Oralia. He is survived by his, sons, Jose Jesus “Jesse” Quintanilla (Veronica) from Lubbock, brother, Robert C. Quintanilla, a close relative cousin, Lupito F. Quintanilla, 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, close nieces, Dominga Q. Anguiano, Alicia (Ray) Esparza, Mina (Fermin) Garcia, Sara, Elsa, and Joni, and a nephew, Albert Quintanilla.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A chapel service was held on February 2, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral procession followed to his final rest at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers were Ray Esparza, John David Quintanilla, George Loya, Mariano Garcia, "Bebe" Clarissa Montalvo Castillo, and Lupito Quintanilla.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the caring hands of Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 1157 W. Hidalgo Ave., Raymondville, TX 78580.
