Jose "Chemo" De La Rosa

Jose “Chemo” De La Rosa, 87, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 16, 2022. He was born October 15, 1934, in Sebastian, TX to Justo and Juana De La Rosa.

Chemo was a long-time employee at Sebastian Cotton & Grain Company. He was well known by all and friend to all.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Frances De La Rosa, daughters, Alice (Alfred) Aguilar, Eloisa (Silverio) Saldana, Lupe De La Rosa (Johnny Gonzales), Jo Ann (Cruz) Marroquin, 21 grandchildren, and 40 great-grandchildren. Chemo is preceded in death by his daughter, Tina De La Rosa.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at 10:30 A.M. at Sebastian Guadalupe Cemetery. Family will gather at the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. for a funeral procession at 10:00 A.M. to the cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Catarino Rodriguez, Ezequiel Mendez, Johnny Gonzales, Alex Aguilar, Mario Guerra Jr., Hector Garcia, Raul Garza and Martin Reyes.
