Josefa (Moreno) Hernandez

Josefa M. Hernandez, 76, entered eternal rest on Thursday, March 6, 2025, in Lyford, TX. She was born November 18, 1948, in Mexico, to Ismael Moreno Jr. and Maria Louisa Gomez Moreno.  

She is survived by her husband, Guillermo P. Hernandez, her daughter, Tamara (Lucio Nava) Hernandez, her son, Guillermo (Melissa) Hernandez Jr., her brothers, Rogelio (Luisa) Moreno, Rafael Moreno, her sister, Norelia Moreno, her grandchildren, Kasandra Wojcik, Lysandra Sosa, Arturo Ramirez Jr., Amador Ramirez, Darren Hernandez, Cynthia Hernandez, Samantha Hernandez, Lucio Nava Jr., Leann Nava, and Victoria Nava, and 11 great grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ismael and Maria Luisa Gomez Moreno, Eliazar Moreno, Benjamin Moreno, and Ismael Moreno, also joined in eternal rest in the Lords Kingdom with her daughter, Jessica B. Ramirez.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Lucio Nava Jr., Andrew Wojcik, Angel Moreno, Eliseo Barnhart Jr., Eliseo Barnhart III, and Ethan Barnhart.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and will resume on Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Interment will follow to her final place of rest at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
