Juan N. Moreno Jr., 75, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, peacefully at his home in Raymondville, Tx. He was born on April 30, 1950, in Raymondville, TX., to Juan S. Moreno Sr. and Petra Najera Moreno.
Juan had a deep love for the simple joys in life. He cherished his loyal dog, Chuey, and could often be found enjoying classic western movies or spending time outdoors. Known for his daily unsweet tea, Juan found comfort in the things he loved the most, his grandchildren, in their school activities. He dedicated 30 years of service to Ninos Headstart and was also a member of the Raymondville Band Booster Club for 6 years, where he made a lasting impact on countless children and families. He will be remembered for his steady presence, kind spirit, and the love he shared with those around him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lydia C. Moreno, his sons, Carlos Moreno (Cindy), Juan Moreno III (Mary Jo), and Benjamin Moreno, his daughters, Nancy Moreno (Chris Salinas), and Amanda Moreno, his brothers, Henry Moreno, Tony Moreno (Janet), Robert Moreno (Estella), Sammy Moreno (Rosemary), and Daniel Moreno (Josie), his sisters, Mary Salazar (Pedro), Janie Williams (Alan), Isabel Elizondo (Albert), and Tani Moreno, and 6 grandchildren. The family of Juan Moreno would like to give a special thanks to Ana Moreno and Ricardo Capetillo.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan S. Moreno Sr. and Petra N. Moreno, his sister, Natividad Jaquez, and brother-in-law, Jose Moreno.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Carlos Moreno, JJ Moreno, Benjamin Moreno, Chris Salinas, Dylan Salinas, and Alex Moreno.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow to his final place of rest at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
