Juana Garcia, 81, entered eternal rest on Thursday, March 27, 2025, in Raymondville, TX. She was born January 17, 1944, in Mexico, to Lucio Garcia and Jovita Cervantes.
She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Castro, Rocio Garcia (Oscar), Leonor Ruiz (Juan), and Juana Valois (Alex), by her sister, Rosa Garcia (Jose N. Castro), and by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lucio Garcia and Jovita Cervantes, her husband, Miguel Velasquez, her daughters, Alma Valdez and Graciela Munoz, her grandchildren, Angela Valdez and Francisco Munoz, her brothers, Alberto Garcia, Eugenio Garcia, and Esteban Garica, and by her sisters, Esperanza Garcia and Anastasia Garcia.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Mario Cortez, Adrian Cortez, Jorge Valdez, Jesus Valdez, Stephanie Garcia, and Abigail Ruiz.
The family would like to thank Superior Hospices for the care and attention they gave Juana during her time.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Interment will follow to her final place of rest at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
