Juanita Guzman, 87, of San Perlita, Texas, gained her angel wings on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, in Harlingen, Texas. She was born on January 18, 1936, in Brownsville, Tx, to Esteban Medina and Micaela Cisneros.
She is survived by her loving husband, Porfirio Guzman Jr., her daughters, Norma Ambriz and Noemi Guzman, her brothers, Bene Medina and Guadalupe Medina, her sisters, Rita Del Rio and Paulita Medina Becerra, her grandchildren, Jennifer Ambriz, Rachel Ambriz, and Sarah Childs, her great grandchildren, Liliana Vasquez, Eric Joe Vasquez, Steven Ambriz, Natalia Velasquez, and Jazmine Velasquez.
She is preceded in death by her son Porfirio “Purple” Guzman III, her parents, Esteban Medina and Micaela Medina, her siblings, Josefina Ayala, Esteban Medina Jr., Pioquinto Medina, Concepcion Riojas, Santos De Luna, and Maria De La Luz “Lucy” Cavazos and her granddaughter, Gina Ambriz.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 5, 2024, from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. All services concluded at that time.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the caring hands of Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 1157 W. Hidalgo Ave., Raymondville, Texas 78580.
