Manuel Ramirez, 94, entered into eternal rest at his residence in Mercedes, TX, on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. He was born in Belen del Refugio Jalisco, Mexico to Sixto Ramirez and Margarita Ornelas.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Trinidad A. Ramirez, his daughter, Maria Trinidad Ramirez, and his son, Jose Manuel Ramirez, his brothers Jose Guadalupe Ramirez and Juan Antonio Ramirez, and his sisters, Maria Del Refugio Ramirez, Ana Maria Ramirez, Maria Del Carmen Ramirez, and Maria Del Socorro Ramirez.
He is survived by his sons, Jose Angel and Reyna, Fernando and Josefina, Reynaldo and San Juana, Pedro Fabian and Carmen +, Sixto Raymundo and Maria De La Luz, Victor Hugo and Graciela, Luis Manuel and Carmen, and Ricardo and Amanda, his daughters, Maria Margarita (Jose Hipolito) Garcia, Maria Guadalupe (Jose Antonio) Torres, Maria De Jesus (Jose Margarito) Cortez, Maria Teresa, Maria Dolores (Antonio) Gomez, Rosa Maria, and Maria Del Carmen (Rich) Saucedo, and his sisters, Mercedes Hernandez, and Josefina De La Cruz, by his 100 + grandchildren, 50 + great grandchildren and 25 + great great grandchildren.
Honored to serve as pallbearers were Jose Antonio Torres, Anthony Quilantan, Jose Hipolito Garcia, Fabian Ramirez, Ricardo Ramirez, Fernando Vargas, and Alberto Ramirez.
A viewing was held on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 12 P.M. until 9 P.M. with a holy rosary at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home and resumed on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with a holy rosary at 7 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 2 P.M. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Interment will follow to his final place of rest at the Lyford Evergreen Cemetery.
