Margarita Lopez

Margarita Lopez, 84, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 16, 2023. She was born on April 18, 1939, at Garza Ranch in Hidalgo County to Gilberto Cardona and Braulia Davila.

She is survived by her loving sons; Jose Francisco Lopez, Jorge Adolfo Lopez and Mark A. Lopez, her daughters, Melba Garcia and Brenda Lopez, her brothers; Jesus “Chuey” Cardona, Abel Cardona, Gilberto “Teo” Cardona, Roberto Cardona, and Rene Davila Jr., her sisters; Maria Davila and Erlinda Davila, her grandchildren; Jeremy Garcia, Devin Lewis, Jose Francisco Lopez Jr., Dustin Ray Lopez, Julieann Sanchez-Lopez, Kaitlin Sanchez-Lopez, and Viviana Victoria Lopez, her great grandchildren; Audrey Garcia and Destiny Lopez.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Gilberto Cardona and Braulia Davila, her loving husband, Adolfo S. Lopez, her brother, Espridion Davila, her sisters; Emma “Angela” Cardona Galvan, Paula Cardona Torres, Santos Cardona Garcia, and Alicia Davila. 

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jeremy Garcia, Devin Lewis, Homer Garcia Jr., Sebastian Garcia, Rene Cardona, Richard Garcia, Lee Roy Garcia, Diego Guerra, and Dustin Ray Lopez.  

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, from 9 A.M. to 9 P.M, with a rosary at 7 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home.  A Funeral mass will be held today at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Raymondville on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at 10 A.M. with interment to follow to her final place of rest next to her loving husband at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
