Margarita Gallegos Rebeles, 88, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her children on Monday, April 10, 2023, in Raymondville, Texas. Margarita was born March 11, 1935, in Espiritu Santo Zacatecas, Mexico, to Justina and Concepcion Gallegos.
Margarita was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, as well as a dedicated member of Our Lady Guadalupe Church, and a faithful supporter of St. Jude Hospital.
Margarita is survived by her nine children: Arturo (Mary+) Rebeles, Maria Rebeles, Imelda (David) Leal, Leticia (Eddie) Rodriguez, Ariel (Sandra) Rebeles, Yolanda Rebeles, Paula (Robert) Smith, Omar (Martha) Rebeles, and Arcidalia Rebeles, two loving sisters, Belen Adame and Maria Feaster, 15 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Baltazar Rebeles, the eldest son, Pedro (Pete) Rebeles, daughter-in-law, Mary Rebeles, and great-granddaughter, Kayzley Rebeles.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A funeral procession will follow to her final place of rest next to her husband in the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be her grandsons: Rene Rebeles, Jaime Rebeles, Mark Rebeles, Michael Leal, Armando Rebeles, Alejandro Rebeles, Ricardo Rebeles, and Samuel Rebeles.
