Maria Guadalupe D. Cordero, 91, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 30, 2023, in Raymondville, TX. She was born on December 10, 1931, in Mexico to Herculano Duran and Juanita Rodriguez Duran.
She is survived by her sons, Hipolito “Polo” (Maria S.) Cordero, Benjamin (Elvia) Cordero Jr., Ricardo (Cindy) Cordero, and Ramiro Cordero, her daughters, Francisca Bejaran, Lydia (Johnny) Moreno, Hermelinda Cordero, Eloisa (Alberto+) Gonzales, Susana (Jurentino Jr.) Gonzales, Maria Teresa (Mario) Trujillo, Alicia Cordero, Augustina (Jose Luis) Nevarez, and Sylvia (David) Sarabia, her brother, Pedro Duran, her sisters, Victoria Perez and Luisa Mata, her 51 grandchildren, her 88 great grandchildren, and her 26 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin B. Cordero, her parents, Herculano Duran and Juanita Rodriguez Duran, her sons, Hipolito Cordero and Roberto Cordero, her brother, Antonio Duran, and her sisters, Josefa Roldan, Luz Gallardo, Margarita Granados, and Maria Rosales.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, from 12 P.M. until 9 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home and will resume on Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 9 A.M until 9:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023, at 9:00 A.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Interment will follow to her final place of rest in the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
