Maria G. Hernandez, 80, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family in Raymondville, TX. She was born on July 29, 1945, in Raymondville, to the late Santos Gonzalez and Ofelia Tijerina.
She is survived by her loving husband, Roberto Hernandez, her sons, Robert Hernandez, Rene Hernandez, and Greg Vasquez (Marivel), her daughters, Rosemary Duron (Robert), Eva Sosa, Elisa Arevalo (Ricky), Sandy Hernandez, Eloisa Cardona (Frank), Elodia Ramirez (Ronnie), Emerald Hernandez (David Trevino), and Maricruz Hernandez (Carlos), her sister, Sylvia Montiel, her grandchildren, Juan Manuel Sosa III, Jacob Lee Sosa, Joshua James Sosa, Jonathan Matthew Sosa, Ricardo Arevalo Jr., Roberto Jose Arevalo, Lorissa Arevalo, Journey Hernandez, Renessa Monique Cardona, Frank Anthony Cardona, Mark Dylan Salas, Jacolby Michelle Sosa, Jacob Michael Sosa, Jazzlyn Rayne, Ethan Derek Trevino, Dathan Ehren Trevino, Alexandria Hernandez, Gabriella Hernandez, Anabella Hernandez, Jonathan Hernandez, Laura Hernandez, Darlene Hernandez, Mariah Hernandez, Amanda Llanes, Cynthia Gillam, Tammy Hernandez, and Veronica Duron, by 27 great grandchildren, and by her 26 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father, Santos Gonzalez, her mother, Ofelia Tijerina, her grandpa, Agustin Tijerina, her grandmother, Eloisa Tijerina, her brother, Roberto Montiel, and her granddaughter, Soraida Gonzalez.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. with a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. All services will conclude at this time.
