Maria Guadalupe “Lupita” Garza, 59, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, December 8, 2022, in Raymondville, Tx. She was born on May 27, 1963, to Sabas Garza, Jr. and Otila Guerrero Garza.
Family time was Lupita’s passion. She was an amazing daughter, sister, and friend, but most especially a dedicated and favorite aunt. Her extreme love for the Lord allowed her to put everyone before herself. She will be dearly missed.
As an avid Houston Astros fan, Lupita served as their employee for 21 years. She also worked for Harris County as an administrator and probation officer for 21 years.
She is survived by her mother, Otila Garza; brothers, Sabas Garza III (Michelle) and Ricardo Garza; sisters, Francisca Ramirez (Ramiro), Olivia Garza, Zenaida Garza (Reynaldo Gonzalez), and Elizabeth Lopez (LeeRoy); 12 nieces and nephews, Sabas Garza IV (Erika), Maria Felix Garza, Elisa Leanne Rodriguez (Carlos), Viviana Flores, Cody Ramirez, Austin Lopez, Aaron Lopez, Rosalee Ramirez, Adriana Lopez, Emmalee Lopez, Ramiro Ramirez III, and Mia Tamez; 6 great nieces and nephews with two more on the way. Lupita is preceded in death by her father, Sabas Garza, Jr.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Sabas Garza IV, Cody A. Ramirez, Austin L. Lopez, Aaron R. Lopez, Ramiro Ramirez III, and Carlos A. Rodriguez.
Visitation will begin Sunday, December 11, 2022, from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 5:00 P.M., then will continue Monday, December 12, 2022, from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
