Maria N. Gomez

Maria N. Gomez, 81, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.  She was born on April 24,1943, in Mexico, to Petra Nieto.

Maria is preceded in death by her mother, Petra Nieto, her husband, Guadalupe Gomez, her daughter in law, Laura P. Gomez, and her brothers, Jose Lino Nieto and Venancio Davila.

She is survived by her sons, Gerardo Gomez and Rogelio Gomez, both from Raymondville, her daughters, Sulema G. Davila (Danny), from Raymondville, Irma G. Sanchez (Mathew), from Tuscan, AZ, her grandchildren, Ruben J. Rodriguez, Vanessa, Gomez, David A. Gomez, Joe E. Mendiola, Alyssa D. Gomez, Justin G. Gomez, and Lily Sanchez, and 5 great grandchildren.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Ruben J. Rodriguez, Joe E. Mendiola, David A. Gomez, Danny Davila, Felix Arjona, and Jesse Orozco.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. There will be no visitation on Friday, Family is asking to meet at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2025.  All services will conclude at this time.
