Maria De Jesus Gutierrez

Maria De Jesus Gutierrez passed away peacefully at Valley Baptist Medical Center surrounded by her loving family on April 13, 2024, at the age of 99 years old. She was born on May 30, 1924, in Arlington, TX to Zeferino Romero and Angela Martinez. 

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Pedro Gutierrez Sr., and her children Angel Ruiz, Antonio Ruiz and Elva Gutierrez.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Javier Ruiz, Juana Maria Ruiz, Pedro (Marina) Gutierrez Jr., Rosalinda (Benigno) Ybarra, Jose Miguel (Elisia) Gutierrez, and Rogelio (Vivian) Gutierrez. She will be greatly missed by her 21 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Fortino Pina, Ryan Normendez, Kobe Navarro, Roman Hinojosa, Noah Brinning, and Richard Gutierrez.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, from 1 P.M. until 9 P.M, with a holy rosary at 7 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home and will resume on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with a holy rosary at 7 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 10 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow to her final place of rest next to her loving husband at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
