Maria D Hernandez

Maria D. Hernandez, 90, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. She was born on September 12, 1931, in Los Fresnos, Texas to Nieves Diaz and Tomasa Reyes Diaz.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness…” 2 Timothy 4:7

She is preceded in death by her son, Jose Hernandez Jr. She is survived by her sons, Lionel Hernandez, Richardo Hernandez, and Martin Hernandez, daughters, Rosa H. Torres, Elida Galvan, and Josefine Hernandez, 19 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren.

Viewing was held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. and resumed Sunday, May 15, 2022, from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a prayer service Sunday evening at 7:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A chapel service was held on Monday, May 16, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral procession followed to her final place of rest in the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring hands of Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 1157 W. Hidalgo Ave., Raymondville, Texas 78580.
