Maria C. Longoria, 94, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 30, 2026, in College Station, TX. She was born on January 16, 1932, in Yorktown, TX., to Guillermo Chapa and Matilde Martinez.
She was a loving woman whose heart was happiest when surrounded by family. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, cooking, and baking, and took great pride in making her famous soft homemade flour tortillas. Whether gathered around the table for a meal or celebrating special occasions, she treasured every moment spent with those she loved. Her deep Catholic faith was the foundation of her life, and she lived each day with kindness, devotion, and a caring spirit.
She is survived by her son, Amado Longoria (Elma), her grandchildren, Madelynn Dorsey (Anthony), Orlando Longoria Sr. (Belinda), and Aaron Longoria, her great grandchildren, Kelli, Darius, Inara, Orlando Jr., Sebastian, and Alexandria, and her great great grandchildren, Aiden, Amir, and Adalie.
She is preceded in death by late husband, Amado Longoria Sr., her parents, Guillermo Chapa and Matilde Martinez, and her sister, Manuela Tamez.
Viewing will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Raymondville. Interment will follow to her final place of rest at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
