Maria F. Marez

Maria F. Marez, 92, was called home by the Lord surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, December 3, 2022. She was born on August 15, 1930, in La Parra Ranch to Ramon and Lazara Flores.

She is survived by her children, Guadalupe “Pime” (Felicita) Marez, Boy (Desideria) Marez, Diana Jamerson, Martha (Tony) Mesa, and Danny Marez; 14 grandchildren, Sylvia, Cynthia, Dolores, Rodney, Maria, Sylvia, Danny, Freddy, Jennifer, Jeanette, Bianca, Claudia, and Angel; 28 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Jose “Cale” Flores. Maria is preceded in death by her husband, Porfirio Marez; parents; daughter, Elizabeth Acosta; son, Rudolfo Marez; granddaughter, Sandra Lynn Garcia; two sisters and four brothers.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with interment to follow at Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Danny Marez, Gabriel Marez, Nathan Enriquez, Joshua Chambers, Peter Flores, and Ruben Hernandez. Honorary pallbearers are Mason Durbin, Jontaye Jamerson, Nathan Martinez, and Freddy Jamerson.
