Maria Gloria (Soria) Montemayor

Maria Gloria Montemayor, 78, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, in Harlingen, Texas, surrounded by her husband, children, grandchildren and other family members.

Gloria was born on October 21, 1945, in San Perlita, Texas, to Pedro ✝️ and Bonifacia ✝️ Soria.

She is survived by her husband, Jose Angel Montemayor, her daughters, Maria Del Rosario Villanueva (Federico), Amelia Esparza (Guillermo), Maribel Conde (Samuel), Veronica Rodriguez, and Anita Gonzalez, her son, Adrian Josue Montemayor (Vanessa), her brothers, Pedro (Odilia) Soria and Manuel (Mary Jane) Soria, her sisters, Rosa (Rev. Abel) Gonzalez, Herlinda (Jose Cruz) Montemayor, Enedina (Geronimo) Ambriz, Yolanda Quilantan, sister-in- law, Anastacia De Leon, her brother-in-law, Hector Acosta, 18 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents - Pedro and Bonifacia Soria, her grandson - Emiliano Aziel Ramirez, her brothers - Rafael (Basilisa) De Leon and Nicanor De Leon, her sister - Anita Acosta, and nieces - Rosalinda Gonzalez Delgado and Jo Marie Solis.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Christopher Castillo, Freddy Villanueva Jr., Willie Esparza Jr., Sammy Conde, Joey Rodriguez, Alex Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez, and Angel Villarreal. Honorary pallbearers are Alexander Montemayor, Adrian Josue Montemayor and Francisco Tapia.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024, from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, and will resume on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow to her final place of rest at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
