Maria (Requena) Reyes

Maria R. Reyes., 72, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in Brownsville, TX. She was born on February 27, 1953, in Raymondville, TX., to Victor Requena and Sofia Leal.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Reyes, her son, Christopher Estrada, her daughter, Melissa Estrada, her brothers, Hector Requena and Jose F. Requena, her sisters, Norma L. Reyes and Lisa Marie Villarreal.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Victor Requena and Sofia Leal Requena, her brothers, Victor Requena Jr. and Roland Requena, and her sisters, Alica Cavazos and Lydia Requena.

Viewing will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Interment will follow to her final place of rest at the Lasara Cemetery.
