Ofelia "Fela" Cortinas

Ofelia “Fela” Cortinas, 77, gained her wings on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, in Raymondville, Texas. She was born on October 13, 1946, in Raymondville, Texas, to Manuel B. Cortinas and Francisca V. Cortinas.

She is survived by her brother, Manuel Cortinas, her sisters, Mage Ramos – Hobbs New Mexico, Mary Lou Ayala and Dora Vasquez – Raymondville, Texas, and by her many nieces and nephews, who she raised as her very own.   

She is preceded in death by her parents Manuel B. and Francisca V. Cortinas, and her brother, Jose E. Cortinas.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral mass was held on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Raymondville, Texas. All services have concluded at this time.

Honored to service as pallbearers were Ruben Rocha, Tomas Vasquez Jr., Johnny Dan Alaniz, Manuel Cortinas, Seilo Casillas, and Juan Garza.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the caring hands of Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 1157 W. Hidalgo Ave., Raymondville, Texas 78580.
