Ofelia Rodriguez, 71, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 22, 2026, in Raymondville, TX. She was born on April 28, 1955, to Narciso Zamora and Celia Reyes Zamora.
She was a devoted and active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, where her faith and kindness touched many lives. She found joy in spending time with her family and treasured creating lasting memories through crafting and photographs. She had a special gift for making the most out of everything life offered. She also enjoyed dancing, listening to music, and sharing laughter and love with those around her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Rodriguez, her sons, Robert (Sandra) Zamora, and Richard Thomas Rodriguez, her grandchildren, JT Zamora, Noah (Hannah B.) Zamora, Hannah Zamora, Catherine (Josh) Solis, April (Doug) Hurst, Alyssa Rodriguez, Natalie Rodriguez, Thomas Rodriguez, Zachary Rodriguez, and Jaxton Rodriguez, her great grandchildren, Brynn Lee Robles, Lila Hayes Zamora, Cate, Samuel, Lily Solis, and Haley Hurst, her brothers, Ruben (Nora) Zamora, and Adan (Patricia) Zamora, and Abraham (Angie) Zamora, and her sisters, Vicky Rodriguez, Minnie Serna, and Elva Hernandez.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Celia and Narciso Zamora, her son, Edward (Wero) Zamora, and her brother, Arnold Zamora.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Noah Zamora, JT Zamora, Thomas Rodriguez, Zachary Rodriguez, Michael Rodriguez, and John Rodriguez. Honorary pallbearer will be Jaxton Rodriguez.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow to her final place of rest at the Raymondville Memorial Cemetery Park.
