Oscar Gonzalez

Oscar Gonzalez, 43, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025. He was born on January 24, 1982, in Harlingen, Texas, to Oscar Gonzalez Sr. and Rebecca Vaquero.

He is survived by his loving wife, Leticia Rivera, his sons, Sebastian Gonzalez, Diego Alejandro Gonzalez, Austin Banuelos, Adrian Rivera, Ventura Alexander Gonzalez, and Aaron Oscar Gonzalez, his daughters, Angelica (Shawn) Rodriguez, and Alyssa Banuelos. He is also survived by his parents, Oscar (Maricela) Gonzalez Sr., and Rebecca (Federico) Vaquera, his sisters, Holly Gonzalez (Robert Aguirre), Michelle Sandifer, and Priscilla Gonzalez, and his grandchild, Grace Anahi Rodriguez.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ventura Rodriguez and Maria Luisa Rodriguez.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Benancio Rivera, Roy Rivera, Roel Rivera, Diego Alejandro Gonzalez, Stephen Serrato, and Luis Serrato.  Honored to serve as honorary pallbearers are Austin Banuelos, Adrian Rivera, Ventura Alexander Gonzalez, Aaron Oscar Gonzalez, and Shawn Andrew Rodriguez.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Interment will follow to his final place of rest at the Sebastian Cemetery.
