Pedro V. Cantu Sr.

Pedro V. Cantu Sr., 83, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 4, 2025, in Lasara, Texas. He was born on March 2, 1941, in Lasara, TX, to Pedro Cantu and Petra Vasquez Cantu.

He is survived by his loving wife, Benita Cantu, his sons, Pedro Cantu III (Gloria), and Andy Cantu (Melva), his daughters, Noemi Chavez (Raul), and Nora Arjona (Jaun Pablo), 17 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Pedro Cantu and Petra Vasquez, his son, Luis Rolando Cantu, and his daughter in law, Elizabeth Cantu.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Raul Chavez, Steve Cantu, J.P. Arjona, Bryan Cantu, Robert Cantu, Dayton Whitis, Georgie Cervantes, and Hector Cantu, honorary pallbearers are Andy Cantu and Pedro Cantu III.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Lasara Cemetery.
