Pedro “Pete” Moreno Jr., 76, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 4, 2025, in Harlingen, TX. He was born on July 5, 1949, in Raymondville, TX. to Pedro Moreno (the real OG) and Elisa Moreno.
An extraordinary husband, dad, grandpa, son, brother and friend, remembered for the unwavering love, generosity, and devotion he gave so freely to his family, friends, and all who held a place in his heart.
Our dad was the proud owner of his own business, Moreno Enterprises, and served as our community’s trusted electrician and plumber. We could always count on him to have the answers—because to us, he was the smartest person we knew. He was truly a pillar of our community.
The legacy he built will continue through his children, their children and generations to come. They will carry his memory with them every day and live their lives to the fullest as he did.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alamar F. Moreno, his sons, Pedro (Pete) Moreno IV (Velma), Jesus Moreno, Ramon Moreno (Kendra), his daughters, Angelita M. Lopez, Madelena Moreno Johnson (Chad), his brothers, Juan Moreno and Martin Moreno (Crystal), his sisters, Maria Moreno, Lydia Gonzalez (Hector+), and Diana Moreno, his grandchildren, Cristopher Moreno (CJ), Desiree Moreno, Dasia Johnson, Mark Moreno, Vicente Lopez, Natalia Moreno, Iyana Moreno, Brielle Moreno, Dru Johnson, and Brooklyn Moreno.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Moreno (the real OG) and Elisa Moreno, his brother, Thomas Moreno (Janie), his sister, Adela Guerrero and brother in laws, Joaquin and Hector Gonzalez.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Pedro Moreno IV (Pete), Jesus Moreno, Ramon Moreno, Cristopher Moreno (CJ), Mark Moreno, and Vicente Lopez.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 12 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a holy rosary at 6 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home.
