Porfirio Munguia, Jr.

Porfirio Munguia Jr., 80, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 23, 2024, in Weslaco, TX. He was born on March 4, 1944, in Raymondville, TX, to Porfirio Munguia Sr. and Fidela Flores.  

He is survived by loving wife, Rosalinda Munguia, his son, Pedro A. (Ann Marie) Munguia, and daughter, Maria (Michael) DiNovo, his grandchildren, Gabriela and Roman DiNovo, Cassandrah, Rosie, and Daniel Mungia.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Fidela, his father, Porfirio, his sister, Maria, and his brothers, Moises, Erasmo and Frank, and his half-sister, Amalia.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jaime and John Hernandez, Robert Munguia, Jason Cavazos, Pedro Romero III, and Pedro Mungia.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024, from 12 P.M. until 9 P.M. with a holy rosary at 7 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 1 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Interment will follow to his final place of rest at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery where he will receive his full military honors.
