Rebecca Rivera

Rebecca (Becky) Rivera, 49, entered into eternal rest on February 18th, 2025, at Harlingen Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 31, 1975, in Harlingen, TX to Jose G. Rivera Sr. and Guadalupe C. Rivera. She was a resident of Raymondville, TX.

Rebecca was a kind, loving and caring individual. She had a great sense of humor but was quick to speak her mind. She loved makeup and would spend countless hours preparing herself for the day in the wee hours of the morning. Rebecca enjoyed socializing and playing loteria with family and friends. When she was not with her family, she continued to share her gift of kindness with seniors at Mirasoles Adult Day Care in Raymondville, TX where she worked for 20 years. Her memory will be a blessing to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

Rebecca is preceded in death by her parents Jose G. Rivera Sr. and Guadalupe C. Rivera. 

Rebecca is survived by her brother Jose Rivera Jr. (Norma) and twin sisters Maria Isabel Rivera and Elizabeth Rivera. She is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and one surviving nephew, Jacob Ethan Rivera. 

Serving as pallbearers are Rolando Rivera, Encarnacion Rivera III, Justino Rivera, Ricardo Olivarez, Javier Rivera, Jose Rivera Jr., Oscar Rivera Jr., and John A. Cisneros.

Honorary pallbearers are Michael Xavier Villarreal, Jacob Ethan Rivera, Deztanee Nevaeh Cisneros, John Anthony Cisneros Jr., Mia Jade Velasco, Isaiah Raziel Velasco, Adalynn Rae Cisneros and Jaxon Andrew Cisneros. 

Viewing will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will resume on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. with Pastor Eddie Chavarria at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Interment will follow to her final place of rest at Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
