Ricardo Loza Obituary

Ricardo "Kiko" Loza, 73, entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 3, 2022, at his residence in Pasadena, Texas.  He was born on August 17, 1948 in Raymondville, Texas to Pete Loza and Belia Renaud Loza. 

Kiko was drafted into the United States Army where he proudly served his country in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, cracking jokes and pulling pranks on his family and friends. He always tried to spark a laugh with people when he was around. In his career, he left Raymondville to work for his uncle's plumbing company in Houston, Renaud Plumbing, then worked as a Supervisor for the City of Houston Parks and Recreation Department. He left his job at the City of Houston and eventually started his own company, Pro Plumber servicing the Greater Houston area.  He enjoyed watching and playing sports, while guiding his children through their childhood by coaching many of their little league teams. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete Loza and Belia Renaud Loza; sister, Dora Elva Loza and his brother, Adan Loza; and stepson, G. Arturo Muzquiz. Kiko was survived by his wife, Armandina Muzquiz; son, Ricardo "Rico" Loza Jr.; daughters, Brenda Loza and Stephanie Hynes; sister, Norma Fernandez; grandchildren, Joshua Gonzales (age 24), Natalie Gonzales (age 23), Madalyn Gonzales (age 19), Reese Webb (age 19), Leia Hynes (age 14), Owen Loza (age 10) and great grandson, Santiago Carranco (4 months old).

A chapel service was held on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral procession followed after to his final place of rest in the El Toro Cemetery in San Perlita, Texas.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Mason Alexander Loza, Lupe Prieto, Jr, Andy Loza, Adrian Loza, Armando Loza, and Andy Loza, Jr.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the caring hands of Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 1157 W. Hidalgo Ave., Raymondville, Texas 78580.
