Robert Rodriguez

Robert Rodriguez, 68, passed away on April 8, 2024. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Robert was born on November 24, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, but was raised in Raymondville, TX. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. The majority of his adult life he resided in California. He returned to Raymondville in 2022. He enjoyed coming home to Tex-Mex food and his favorite Tejano music.

He is survived by his daughters, Lorraine Salinas, Calallen, TX. and Christina M. Rodriguez, San Antonio, TX., his son, Robert Chavez (Brittany), Sacramento, CA., his brothers, Johnny Rodriguez (Rosie), Cypress, TX., and Daniel Rodriguez (Delia), Edinburg, TX., his sisters, Dalia Putnam (Mark), Orange City, FL., and Alicia Rodriguez, Tulsa, OK., and his grandchildren, Scott O’Con, Cal Allen, Alexandria Olivarez, San Antonio, TX., Jaxson Pavlovich and John Chavez, Sacramento, CA., and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Esther Rodriguez, brothers, David and Rene Rodriguez, and his sister, Gloria Perez.

A military funeral service will be held for family and friends at the Rio Grande State Veterans Cemetery, in Mission, TX. on April 15, 2024, at 10 A.M. All services will conclude at that time.
