Roberto R. Cavazos

Roberto R. Cavazos, 71, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in Harlingen, TX. He was born on September 10, 1954, in Lyford, Tx. to Ruben Garcia Cavazos and Maria Candelaria Nieto Cavazos.

He is survived by his loving wife, Alma Aurora Cavazos, son, Robert Cavazos, daughters, Amanda (Marco) Garcia, Roberta (Tyler) Bayless, his brother, Ricky Cavazos, his sisters, Diana (Rudy) Chavez, Dora (Rick) Casto, Gina (Ruben) Flores, and his grandchildren, Myah Alexandria, Mallory Alexa, Masyn Alexander, Emily Grace, Kamila Reign, McKenzie Janelle, Eastyn Beckham, and Kimberlee Elaine.

He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Ruben Garcia Cavazos, and Maria Candelaria Cavazos, and his brothers, Rolando Rey, Reynaldo Rene, Ramiro Noel, and Ruben Noe Cavazos.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Martin Cavazos, Rudy Chavez, Ricky Chavez, Ruben Cavazos, Bobby Delgado, Eddie Flores, and Peter Flores. Honorary pallbearers are his sons-in-law, Marco Garcia and Tyler Bayless.  

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a holy rosary at 6 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home.  Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Interment will follow to his final place of rest at the Lyford Evergreen Cemetery.
